I suspect those arrows change the band rather than the station
Here is the info below:
Its ERP is 100 watts Omnidirectional.
Thanks heaps!
I’ll try and see if I can pick it up from my area.
UPDATE: I was able to successfully receive it, albeit at super weak reception. Used a portable set outside for the best experience, and I had to be in a particular spot to have a chance at any reception of the station. Otherwise I can pick up nothing on 99.7 FM.
You could say I went DXing for the station!
currently playing a program from Access 80s, an unknown 80s radio station that I can find nowhere online, not even with a quick Google search, does anyone know if Access 80s exists anymore?
YET ANOTHER UPDATE: Okay apologies for the excessive amount of posts, but I’ve finally found the station that AO Radio is relaying into Melbourne on FM: All Eighties Music | Listen Online | XS80s Online Radio
It is XS80S
It is a station run by a Aussie who moved to NZ to work in radio and has since return back to Brisbane to work for SCA, you also would have heard the guys voice on various radio stations as he does a lot of voice over work on Aussie radio
Thanks!

It is XS80S
Haha XS = Access with a Kiwi accent.
Good thing its not a 60s station!!

Well, I will point out that the current 3GL Geelong is mainly a 60s station, although some 70s tracks are also played at times. Every time I’ve turned on 3GL, whether that be on 1341 AM or on those low-power FM (1-watt) translators spread out across the area (including one in Colac), it was a 60s song that I heard.

current 3GL
It’s interesting you mention 3GL, as like 2XS, it’s one of these ‘tribute’ type stations reviving a popular entity from the past.
SEN Track 1539 am reception seems better these days not that I am loyal listener of track but is handy on a sat night when the bbl is on. Much better than SEN Track dab, 16 k sounds horrible. Anyway ABC Sports have it on dab as well this year. So not a huge deal anymore.
Yes, so 100w ERP.
Something tells me that theoretical 250km range with only 2.5kW power is a bit optimistic. Maybe if the transmit antenna is hovering in midair

In the world of the charlatan, intense tropo is a 24/7 occurrence.
It’ll depend of what antenna is connected to it & how high above sea level that antenna is.
2MFM Sydney transmitter runs at 2.14kW into a 12 bay mixed antenna at Artarmon giving it a ERP of 15kW & it travels out over 100km, if you connected that transmitter to a high gain antenna at a high altitude & ran it at full power of 2.5kW, you could probably reach 250km range in non hilly terrain, but it is a big claim to make.
Time for something different. My tinySA is picking up the STL’s for Radio Metro and Juice 107.3 in Benowa where I currently am.
This is a fun activity. There’s plenty of analog audio you can pick up if you’re in the right place. Radio STLs, wireless in-ear systems for concerts, etc.
