Good concept and nice background shot, but we don’t have much brand recognition for Mark Ferguson out here. Daniel Gibson would be the equivalent on national news

Yeah. In the four regions of NSW which receive full Prime7 News bulletins, viewers only see Fergo on Sunday nights!

Probably not as good as WAtvVideos’ mocks above. But here’s my attempt at tidying up the new look Prime7 Local News (obviously similar to the mock super for Seven News I did around a month ago) including a Seven News-esque logo:

I think that this new logo of Prime7 Local News was great.
Removing the underline for “Prime” and resizing the 7 looks quite nice. Well done.

Personally I’ve never understood why Prime7/GWN7 have the underline as part of their logos. Doesn’t add much design wise, if anything makes the “Prime/GWN” text less legible.

Shouldn’t these be in 4:3? 
The only reason I came up with was so the Prime7 logo wasn’t even wider. There are times where they have to make it kind of small to fit in the roughly-square-shaped space available for the 7 logo.

Which do people prefer? the blue supa or the white?

White looks good on the gray background, but as soon as their are images behind it I think the blue might work better.
Could you put an image behind them?
