Random Mocks

Could be the new logo for the unnamed 7 female-skewed channel. Blue for 7mate, orange for 7Two and red variant for the main channel.

ntv7’s logo could be used for some mocks.

On air presentation could resemble “The One to Watch” used from 1999-2003.

Modernised version of the original ATN-7 logo will bring back some nostalgia.

ATN-7 had a similar logo back in 1968.

There’s something about the angle of the 7 that’s off. I can’t put my finger on it and it’s really bothering me.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like the concept! Perhaps the 7 is too thick and the circle is too thin?

Yeah, I agree!

Just a little “something” I made with Marcus’ blank watermarks… (RIP Analogue Television in Singapore)

For those who want context: When 9HD! were airing repeats of I Dream Of Jeanie and Bewitched, these were the two logos that ended both shows. When it switched to GO! after the decision to axe the “breakaway programming” thing, they remained intact.
Sony’s then-odd choice to plaster earlier Screen Gems logos with the 1973-1974 (short version with byline) version of the infamous “S From Hell” (which appeared on both shows) on then-current international syndication prints remains interesting.
Seven on the other hand would just prefer to plaster the credits with the regular Sony Pictures Television logo.

Like it, maybe make the font smaller and only one two lines, not three (the lower third).
Definitely a good ideas though. :+1:

Also would the G’Day Australia & 10 logos flip on-air like Channel 7 does with Sunrise?

I do like it. Also do a mock for Sunday morning (current affairs show) based on the US show of the same name

I thought I would finish my 10 News set mocks, which are based on the current Sydney set. The Perth one I did is my favourite.

Adelaide:

The Melbourne one isn’t that good because I didn’t really know what to put on either side of the plasma. The desk and the RHS plasmas were used during 10’s Melbourne Cup coverage. The look into the control is there to replica the one used during the Studio 10 updates in Sydney (I remember the Melbourne set used to have a control room feed on the LHS in one of the set incarnations, but I’m not sure if it is physically located behind the set for a glass wall or not). If they used a JIB on this angle over the desk, I think they could still incorporate a standing opener:

Looks good! I’m not sure the scale of the Adelaide one is right though (the two left hand screens look too big).

I also liked the look into the control room in the old Melbourne set (from the old studio).

I keep on saying this, but I’d prefer that Melbourne goes back into that old studio and turns it into a multipurpose set. If you look through the Sports Tonight thread, you can see that they have a massive videowall in there now which would work well as the main desk area.

Going off your Melbourne mock, I’d personally keep those two vertical plasmas they currently have on the RHS, but have those horizontal lighting bars going behind them (as per ur Adelaide mock). It’s a shame that Melbourne has never used them!

My scales for Perth and Adelaide were pretty accurate. I based the Adelaide mock from the scale in this video. The newsroom, standing presentation and desk are all in the same place- just the desk is pushed to the right a bit. That second plasma in my mock would be where the gap for the newsroom currently is:

The Melbourne one is based on this angle in the opener (I’m not even sure if it is the same studio as the current one):

Ahh I see. You’ve thought this out well then!

I would think that this studio is from the previous one (pre-2014 set). I believe the current studio used for Melbourne was the old Adelaide studio back when it used to come from Melbourne.
