Surely if any of the commercial networks go down the 24 hour news channel route it would have to be Seven launching 24/7.
I really think if Ten aren’t going to launch a 4th network they should instead look to get their two sub channels in HD. SBS has managed three HD channels so no reason Ten can’t.

Here’s some idea I whipped up for bushfire warnings on ABC TV/News/Online.
I’m thinking a decent map would communicate to viewers/online readers the situation much more effectively than what a text-based statement read out could. I think real time aerial fire monitoring is a thing now, so the data could be extrapolated from whatever the RFS has on hand.

I guess this one is inspired by those tornado trackers you see in the corners of screens on American TV. Not sure how practical it would be with the town names so small, but I think you get the idea.

I’d recommend a colour other than blue for the Evacuate Immediately rating, only because the blue spots look like water bodies at first glance. Perhaps to yellow, but you’d have to change the colour of the road. Awesome job all round.
