If the current CBS Evening News used the 2016 EN theme:
Check out what the cat dragged in (I can’t believe he’s still actually uploading vids…and people seem to be thumbs-upping them?!)
Don Burke is the biggest weed on the planet.
I rather dislike how the Sky News logo is disconnected from the lower thirds, so I’ve attempted a mock with it integrated into them.
If Sky News on WIN ever launches in metro areas…
Wouldn’t it be 10skynews? Haha
Or just 10sky?
nah, would be skynews10firstatfive
A few years ago it could have been TEN sky witness news first at five
Just a quick stitching inspired by the new Commonwealth Games logo and SEVEN’s decision to already use their Olympic rings.
(do we even have a broadcaster for 2022?)
we dont have a broadcaster for those games as yet
Although I reckon Seven would broadcast it, they usually do the Olympics/Comm Games.
The Commonwealth Games have been on all three commercial networks at various points over the last 30 years (Seven: 2002, 2018. Nine: 1990, 1998, 2006. Ten: 1994, 2010) and since the rights are still up for grabs, it could be anyone’s at this stage!
Not a bad mock/re-edit from DDN, by the way.
I’d put money on Ten nabbing them this time.
I wondered how the timezones line up with which network got the rights for each year…
1990 9 New Zealand
1994 10 Canada (BC)
1998 9 Malaysia
2002 7 England
2006 9 Australia
2010 10 India
2014 10* Scotland
2018 7 Australia
Who had the rights in 2014? Looks like historically 9 (and more recently 7) go for the timezone friendly ones, leaving them to 10 for the bleary-eyed.
(*) Thanks AustralianAerial for this info.
10 had Glasgow
I was watching some of the new Facebook Watch Bulletins and I wanted to edit the 10 News First bulletin from its 16:9 ratio to 1:1, making it a lot more friendly on social media.
I just reworked some of the element I used in my old 10 News First mock.

A bit of it in action.
Nice. You seem to have put far more effort into the look than 10 did.
Bloody fantastic mock! Just how it should be.
I’d replace the weather map with a list of the capital city forecasts.
