I remember being in the USA in the 1990s and there was a country station on 104.5 that seemingly couldn’t decide to be 104 or 105 so ID’d as “104 and a half”.

I wonder if using “1/2” was an American thing? KLOS in Los Angeles used to be “KLOS 95 1/2”
