A random question popped into my head this morning in the shower (I am usually immune to such lightbulb moments)!

Was there ever a move to launch a supplementary FM licence for 2MW (Radio 97) in the Tweed Valley? I’m guessing it may not have been worth it for Bill because most would tune into ZZZ or the Cold Ghost stations for their CHR/Hot AC fix. I’m assuming Bill was the owner back in 1997 and 1998, when most supplementary FMs were switched on.

Even 7XS had a supplementary FM (in 7AUS) even though it wasn’t really used until recently (and then only for Kix Country…)

It’s a good question.

I’ve wondered why they haven’t fully converted to FM given they are a solus market.
