Yes exactly .Go Cards should be able to be used in all of QLD ,not just the South East corner
Iād like to see a national card. I have an.Opal, Myki, Go and the WA one at home.
The new go card will be statewide once the new machines are installed, as will credit card payments. Should be within 12 months.
Iām pretty sure buses in Redlands, logan and the gold coast are now go card only. I havenāt seen a bus that sells paper tickets in any of these areas for a long time.
Since I donāt travel on these buses except Brisbane City Council ones I wasnāt sure
Following last weekās announcement of increasing frequency on Geelong line and Vlocity trains on Warrnambool line, the Victorian Government announced this morning that Ballarat, Bendigo and Albury lines would also receive additional services from December 1.

Total patronage of Adelaideās trains, trams and buses has recovered significantly since the pandemic ā but is still more than 10 per cent down on pre-COVID levels.
This week i bought tickets for the Pacific Championships finals day and the T20 International at the SCG. Both printed tickets state it includes free public transport. Yet the electronic ones donāt so i will be interested to see how many patrons tap their opal cards
I think Brisbane is the only capital city where the bus service is run by the city council, jointly with TransLink .
Other council areas adjoining Brisbane City Council have their own bus services, all are run by TransLink and so are the trains and ferries, the Citycat ferries are jointly operated by Brisbane City Council also
The other day I was on a train and a guy went mad at a couple of high school students who were listening to music on their phone without headphones,he told them āWe donāt want to hear your musicā.Good on him for telling them off.
Congratulations?
Iām more shocked someone in Geelong touched-on on a busā¦
Especially if it was Gangster rap
The Ellenbrook Line set to commence 9th December and is the red line for Perth.
Interestingly it looks like the system is renaming to Metronet, currently it is Transperth Trains
Personally I dislike the change and Iām hoping it returns to Transperth Trains when the Byford and Cockburn extensions are completed.
Another tidbit, it looks like the Cockburn - Thornlie line will be purple when that re-opens next year or 2026.
The Victorian Government announced today that the manufacturing of Melbourneās G Class trams had commenced.
Also today, the renders of the new Town Hall station (one of five new stations in Melbourne Metro Tunnel) and the City Square were released. They however fail to include the Burke and Wills statue, which has been standing on the north west corner of the square, opposite the Town Hall, for more than 100 years, but was removed in 2017 for the construction of the station. The government has previously indicated the statue will return to the location when the new City Square is complete.
EDIT: according to the Town Hall public realm plan, the Burke and Wills statue will be reinstalled as its current location.
Seems counter-intuitive to already have a strong and uniform cross-modal brand like Transperth, only to dilute it by calling the trains a different name.
I think it was
That stuff to me isnāt even music
