One that regular Australians can attend I mean (and not just exclusive to Sydney)

Good for her.

Looks like the Prince Philip documentary 10 is showing tonight, is His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh from ITN in the UK. It was shown on Channel 4 on Friday afternoon, hours after Philip’s death was announced.

The title was Prince Philip A Royal Life and that aired on ITV. So who knows what it actually is.

That ITV documentary is on YouTube and has totally different content to the one 10 is showing.

Who knows. Maybe the credits will show where it’s been acquired from.

I don’t recall seeing anybody on any channel wearing anything other than black or dark blue/grey/green which is equally appropriate.

Bit ironic given Rick Arden was still wearing his garish turquoise tie (which should be binned anyway!) during updates which aired long after the initial newsflash on Friday night.

Sunrise this morning a prominent exception.

I wore blue jeans. I guess I should have worn my black jeans.

I think the window has passed, though I’d expect British presenters to be wearing black all week.

They can bring it back here for the funeral next weekend.

Prince Andrew and Prince Edward have spoken outside the chapel at Royal Lodge Windsor.

Beautiful statement released from Princess Anne paying tribute to her father.

She released one of her favourite photos of herself and her father.

So taking into account timeslot, COVID restrictions (both ways), reduced attendance, crowds etc, it seems a pretty low return for Australian networks sending anyone from here to the UK; especially with the UK correspondents seeming to do good job.

That article confirms Nine and the ABC will air the funeral, with Seven and 10 still to announce their plans.

Wonder if there’ll be any local production either on or before midnight? Or whether they’ll just take an overseas satellite feed from a news affiliate at midnight.

@TV.Cynic Guides don’t seem to be updated to reflect the funeral coverage yet. Seven showing “Supercars highlights” (3 markets) and movie “Payback” (2 markets), Nine showing movie “Gorky Park”, ABC showing “Rage Guest Programmer” but 10 curiously showing “TBA”.
