Prince Philip, Duke Of Edinburgh Funeral Coverage

Television ratings are in for the Australian broadcasts of the Funeral. Don’t think we can publish the actual numbers on this site until tomorrow though.

Seven coded the ratings as one by the looks of it (from 9.30pm in Sydney), so their numbers for the night are quite higher than the other networks.

For the funeral itself: Nine came second. Ten third. ABC fourth. And ABC News in fifth place.

Nine’s pre-service and ABC News pre-service had respectful numbers.

It was broadcast from 10-11pm here in Perth so ratings will be counted to Saturday’s.

I actually feel for the queen. I know with the COVID protocols here in the uk they had no choice but it still sad to see though. Her heart must be breaking

I watched the Itv courage. The tremendous loss
Of Prince Phillip will be felt for a while.

Programs up to 2 am are listed in Saturday’s ratings. The audience share, however, only goes to midnight.

Her nickname is Lilibet. He wouldn’t insult her by calling her Lilibeth.

UK TV ratings are in for the funeral for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Nowhere near the 32m which saw Diana’s funeral in 1997.

But higher than the Queen Mothers funeral in 2002 which had 10m (might have been a weekday though).

Also worth noting we had pretty decent weather yesterday across the country and also it was the first weekend of various covid restrictions being lifted across much of the UK. I don’t think those figures include streaming too - the BBC Youtube stream along had over 700k. I’d be surprised if iPlayer didn’t surpass that.

Some of the comments in this thread. I can’t. It’s a death and a funeral. Not a popularity contest.

Millions were streaming the funeral. Those ratings figures mean nothing.
