Seven would have bought the rights and sub-licensed them to Foxtel, in that case, as they had no interest other than showing the tests, the BBL, and the womenâs games.
Exactly the same situation as to how âevery matchâ of the AFL and NRL is on the list but Seven and Nine only show three or four matches a week.
Alternatively, if no-one from FTA buys them, they drop off the anti-siphoning list â4,368 hoursâ⌠ahem, thank you BSA, letâs call it six months before the start of the event.
The third season will premiere on Prime Video next year in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
ânew platformâ isnât that just like going from Kayo Freebies to Kayo?
I guess since Freevee also operates as a independent app, that itâs a bit different? Prime Video subscribers can also access the same Freevee content, so itâs just being taken off Freevee by the sounds of it since Prime subscribers could have already accessed it previously through their subscription.
Footnote: Verona Cinema will close in January 2024 due to end of lease, and will reopen at Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park in February.
Interesting to see that Verona will reopen the former Hoyts Paris Cinemas there.
This article says that Hoyts at Moore Park is staying, meaning there will be two cinema complexes at the location come February.
Entertainment Quarter already has Hoyts onsite, but Palaceâs venue will be solely devoted to arthouse and international cinema, rather than blockbusters.
Just to clarify. There were two Hoyts cinema complexes there before the pandemic. The arthouse cinemas were known as Cinema Paris but closed permanently in 2020. This 4 screen cinema complex will reopen as Palace Moore Park.
Good Omens to return for ineffable third and final season
Produced by BBC Studios Productions, Amazon MGM Studios, the Blank Corporation, and Narrativia new series will premiere globally on Prime Video.
Prime Video announced that it has ordered the global fan-favorite series Good Omens for a third and final season.
The forthcoming season will bring to life a serendipitous conversation from almost 35 years ago, between Neil Gaiman and the late Sir Terry Pratchett, where they mapped out âwhat happens nextâ to the wonderful characters in the world of their internationally best-selling novel.
âGood Omens has checked every box for a clever, witty, and funny comedy that not only made it a success on Prime Video, but also made âgoodnessâ watchable and fun thanks to Neil and Terryâs immense creativity,â said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. âThe final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy.â
Neil Gaiman said: âIâm so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006. Terry was determined that if we made Good Omens for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World. Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped. Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they arenât talking.â
Rob Wilkins, Good Omensâ executive producer, said: âWeâre delighted to see Crowley and Aziraphale returning after breaking our hearts in Season Two. Seeing award-winning duo David [Tennant] and Michael [Sheen] reunited will be such a joy. We only wish Terry was here to enjoy the ride with us.â
Josh Cole, head of comedy, BBC Studios Comedy Productions, said: âIt is a rare joy to return to this uniquely wonderful show. The world Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett created has thrilled millions around the world and weâre delighted to be bringing those fans a gripping conclusion to a story that begun 35 yearsâand several millenniaâago.â
The first season of Good Omens launched globally as a limited series on Prime Video in May 2019, and became a worldwide hit. This led to the series being renewed for a second season, which premiered in July 2023, and explored storylines that went beyond the original source material to illuminate the ineffable friendship between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley (David Tennant).
The final season of the comedic fantasy drama will begin filming soon in Scotland and will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Neil Gaiman continues as executive producer, writer, and showrunner. Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, representing Terry Pratchettâs estate, as well as BBC Studios Productionsâ head of comedy Josh Cole will also executive produce. Good Omens is based on the well-loved novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Sir Terry Pratchett and Gaiman. The new season is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios Productions, the Blank Corporation, and Narrativia.
With this announcement, Amazon MGM Studios continues its relationship with Gaiman, who has a first-look deal with the studio, which also includes the forthcoming series Anansi Boys.
This looks good, havenât watched anything yet on Prime but will probably give this a go in January.
Obviously I donât know what you prefer watching, but recommend Bosch, Bosch Legacy and Reacher if you like gritty crime dramas.
Gritty crime is my sorta thing, so will check them out! Cheers
As Variety points out in yesterdayâs article regarding Expats trailer:
Throughout production, âExpatsâ has been the subject of much controversy â from the Hong Kong government exempting Kidman from their strict quarantine regime to criticism over the series taking place and filming in Hong Kong despite ongoing political unrest. Hong Kong media also reported that Kidman walked off the production early â which Amazon Studios denied.
At the 2:10 mark of the trailer is a scene of a massive crowd on a road overpass towards Central - a reference to the so-called âUmbrella Revolutionâ of 2013-2014, which the HK government calls it (to this day) as an anti-government movement.
It will be interesting to see how the trailer will be received in HK, and whether Expats will be able to screen on Amazon Prime in the city next year.
Nicole and husband Keith Urban attended Expatsâ Australian premiere last night, despite heavy rain outside. Angela Bishop was the MC.

Has anyone heard if Luxe Listings has been commissioned for Season 4 ?
No, limited ads will also come to Amazon Prime in Australia sometime in 2024.
The change will happen in the UK, Germany and Canada on February 5, where the service has begun notifying customers as well. That will be followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later in the year.
