I thought Stan was the home of Showtime as they claimed. I thought they had first rights to new Showtime stuff or not documentaries ? Any idea how this works ?

GIRLFRIENDS’ GUIDE TO DIVORCE

Seasons 1 and 2 available to stream on Presto from 23 March

Presto announced today that Bravo’s critically-acclaimed, inaugural scripted series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will debut on the streaming service with every episode available on Presto exclusively from March 23.

Starring Lisa Edelstein (House) and inspired by the “Girlfriends’ Guide” book series by Vicki Iovine, this sparkling dramedy from creator and executive producer Marti Noxon (Glee, Mad Men, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) follows Abby McCarthy – America’s favourite self-help book author and guru – as she navigates her new life as a single woman in her 40s in Los Angeles.

After Abby publicly admits that she has separated from her husband Jake (Paul Adelstein, Scandal), America’s once-favorite girlfriend finds her career and marriage in a free fall. Turning away from her married clique and towards her new set of divorced friends, Abby sets out on a journey of self-discovery as she attempts to salvage her career, get back in the dating game and figure out her new identity as a single woman. With help from her friends – no-nonsense entertainment lawyer, Lyla (Janeane Garafolo, Reality Bites, Wet Hot American Summer), former model and budding entrepreneur, Phoebe (Beau Garrett, Tron: Legacy), commitment-phobe divorce attorney, Delia (Necar Zadegan, 24) and her blunt best friend from university, Jo (Alanna Ubach, Meet the Fockers) – Abby comically stumbles through first post-marriage hook-ups, a blog post gone horribly wrong and a Vegas trip that leads to some unexpected complications.

Guest stars in the series include Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black), Bernadette Peters, Carrie Fisher, Retta, Megan Hilty, Mark Valley, Jean Smart, Will Kemp, Lesley Ann Warren, Barry Bostwick and Maury Sterling.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce is produced by Universal Cable Productions with Marti Noxon, Vicki Iovine, Meryl Poster, Robert Duncan McNeill, Carol Barbee, Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro serving as executive producers.

All episodes of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce will be available to stream exclusively on Presto from March 23.

I cancelled my Presto subscription. No HD on the browser, limited content, too expensive and constant errors in peak hours.Sticking with Netflix and Stan. Was on a 6 month trial with an additional 3 months added on.

I canceled mine as well. It was taking ages to load and not a lot of great content.

I get it for free with my Foxtel subscription and never use it. The lack of HD and no 5.1 audio are the major reasons why. I watched the Home and Away telemovie and that remains the only thing I’ve watched on it to this day.

The only thing I watched was Always Greener and that was only because where we lived we only got the 1st season. The year after WIN must have changed from being seven to nine and didn’t get the last season. I should have stopped watching after the first season anyway. I looked through presto and didn’t find much worthy of a watch. Scandal would be the only thing I would consider but I have watched all of those.

Stan is adding a lot of tv shows this month , Netflix as well. What Presto does add seems to be old HBO stuff.

Even though I already have used a 6 month and added a 3 month promo code to Presto, now I get a regular email every 5 days from Quickflix with a code , telling me to trial Presto.

According to Presto they told me I can use the same credit card too. I then got another 6 month code with Telstra TV .

I wonder how many paying subscribers they have when they are so many codes out for it as it is included in Foxtel Platinum.

but still a much better movie selection than Netflix!

I wonder why they still haven’t got HD on the browsers for their videos. The other two services do. Even Stan has started to put closed captions out there.

Maybe it is just me , I find Netflix’s originals and Stan’s shows at times more interesting than Presto.
