Sammy J returns to the show, this time exploring Melbourne’s creative inner-west with a day in Seddon (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). He dines at local favourite Lola, whose menu is full of Spanish and Portuguese flavours, before perusing the locally hand made and crafted goods at Far Fetched Designs. He then catches up with Tamara Oudyn who along with the other members of Pitchface, a mostly female community choir, are soon to perform at St Kilda’s Palais Theatre alongside Kate Miller-Heidke.
Beloved cook and author Julia Busuttil Nishimura is back to take viewers to some of her favourite foodie spots in Collingwood (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). There’s brunch at Masses Bagels on Smith Street, fresh fish direct from the company that provides to Melbourne’s best restaurants, Ocean Made Seafood, and a feast of Middle Eastern flavours at Tom Sarafian’s Zareh, one of the most exciting new restaurants in Melbourne.
Madeline Spark travels to Mornington (Bunurong Country) for shopping on Main Street at Tulua Home & Style. She tries the viral - and incredibly crunchy - potato cakes at SPK Kiosk & Bar before heading inland to a cooking and feasting experience at Frog Hollow Kitchen in Main Ridge.
And Livinia Nixon heads west to Geelong (Wadawurrung Country) for the Geelong Gallery’s most ambitious exhibition to date. Discovering the Impressionists brings together more than 70 works by some of the biggest names in art including Monet, Renoir, Pissarro. Across the road she explores the state of the art Geelong Arts Centre before checking into Crowne Plaza Geelong, the newest premium hotel on the waterfront, whose Skyline Bar boasts incredible views over Corio Bay.
