Deadline reports Paramount+ has acquired Channel 5 mini-series Compulsion for Australia, Latin America and the Nordic countries, from distributor Eccho Rights. It debuted in Britain on April 12.

Watching Super Pumped on AppleTV and still can’t believe P+ doesn’t have an option to skip recaps and the opening credits. Also the timer on the next episode is far too long.
No idea why they delayed this premiering in Australia, have seen very little advertising for it also. It’s a good series, am enjoying these shows at the moment like WeCrashed etc.

I have seen promos for Super Pumped on 10 every night this week.
Not just this week. I’m sure I first saw it a couple of weeks ago.
See that’s probably the issue, if you don’t watch 10 very often you’d be hard pressed to see any advertising for it.
In saying that though, after I posted that comment I opened Twitter and it came up as a sponsored post at the top of the search tab above the trending section.

Paramount+ today released the official trailer for its upcoming original film from Paramount Pictures’ Players label and MRC Film’s Landline Pictures, the comedy Jerry & Marge Go Large , starring Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening. The film, directed by David Frankel, will be available to stream starting Saturday, 18 June, exclusively on Paramount+.
Jerry & Marge Go Large is inspired by the remarkable true story of retiree Jerry Selbee (Cranston), who discovers a mathematical loophole in the Massachusetts lottery and, with the help of his wife, Marge (Bening), wins millions and uses the money to revive their small Michigan town.
In addition to Cranston and Bening, the cast includes Larry Wilmore, Rainn Wilson, Anna Camp, Ann Harada, Jake McDorman, Michael McKean and Uly Schlesinger.
Jerry & Marge Go Large is directed by Academy Award® winner David Frankel ( Marley & Me, The Devil Wears Prada ) and written by Emmy® nominee Brad Copeland ( Wild Hogs, Arrested Development ). The film is produced by Academy Award nominee Gil Netter ( The Blind Side, Life of Pi ), Levantine Films ( Hidden Figures ) and executive produced by Kevin Halloran ( Ford v Ferrari ). Amy Baer also produced via MRC Film’s Landline Pictures – the film is the label’s first production. Netter, Tory Metzger and Renee Witt from Levantine Films developed and packaged the film based on the original article by Jason Fagone for The Huffington Post.
Tokyo Vice will screen in Australia first on Paramount+ from next Tuesday (May 24), before the SBS broadcast later this year.

This one-of-a-kind show will encapsulate the Paramount+ tagline of ‘Unique Stories, Iconic Stars, and a Mountain of Entertainment’, through a fleet of 600 drones hovering above the Sydney Harbour, in a playful display, illustrating some of the streaming service’s most iconic stars and scenes.

Paramount+ original series Tulsa King , starring Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone, will premiere with two episodes on Monday, 14 November. Creator and Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan serves as executive producer alongside Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Terence Winter ( The Sopranos, The Wolf of Wall Street ), who will also be at the helm as showrunner and writer. Currently in production in Oklahoma City, Okla., Tulsa King is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realising that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Tim Roth (Hateful Eight, Lie To Me, Sundown) will now play the role of the lead antagonist, Ezra Shipman, in the highly anticipated Australian original drama series, Last King of The Cross , after actor Ian McShane has had to withdraw due to health concerns.
Producer and HELIUM Founder, Mark Fennessy, said: “It’s unfortunate that Ian is unable to join us and we wish him a speedy recovery.

For one night only, Paramount+ partnered with Vivid Sydney 2022 to dazzle audiences with the largest drone and light show ever seen in the Southern Hemisphere. Vivid Sydney is the annual festival of Light, Music and Ideas that will transform Sydney into a fusion of creativity, innovation and technology from Friday, 27 May to Saturday, 18 June.
With the help of SKYMAGIC, Paramount+ transformed the wintery evening sky into a sprawling canvas, as a fleet of 600 perfectly choreographed LED-equipped drones shape shifted and synchronised into enormous 3D images and sequences, illustrating some of the premier streaming service’s most iconic stars and scenes.
Illuminating the Sydney skyline, the drones painted quintessential scenes and objects including a Mission Impossible countdown clock, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ U.S.S Enterprise, SpongeBob SquarePants himself, HALO ’s Master Chief and Cortana’s voiceover , PAW Patrol ’s Chase, Top Gun ’s fighter jet, South Park ’s orange-clad Kenny, and the brand-new logo for the highly anticipated, crime-fighting local production, NCIS: Sydney.
