What Happens In The Wilderness, Doesn’t Stay In The Wilderness.

Television Series Yellowjackets Is Coming Soon To Paramount+

Starring iconic female storytellers Melanie Lynskey ( Two And A Half Men ), Juliette Lewis ( Natural Born Killers ), Christina Ricci ( The Addams Family ), and Tawny Cypress ( Unforgettable ), Yellowjackets is equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama series.

Coming soon to Paramount+, Yellowjackets follows a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players, who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote wilderness.

The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

Yellowjackets also stars Ella Purnell ( Sweetbitter ), Samantha Hanratty ( Shameless ), Sophie Thatcher ( Prospect ), Sophie Nélisse ( The Book Thief ), Steven Krueger ( The Originals ), Jasmin Savoy Brown ( The Leftovers ), and Warren Kole ( Shades of Blue ).

Adult animated series Crossing Swords premieres on P+ today. Set in medieval times, it features the voices of Seth Green, Luke Evans and Nicholas Hoult. It was renewed for a second season, six days after its US debut in June 2020.

What are everyone’s thoughts on the service? I signed up for the trial but struggled to find programs to watch other than the Infinite movie which I didn’t even watch all the way through. Hopefully Showtime content will increase and give me a reason to come back.

Star-Crossed: The Film premiers this Saturday 11th September, it’s a 50 min special from singer
Kacey Musgrave to coincide with the launch of her new album.

Maybe though when it was on Stan there wasn’t a lot of new Showtime stuff.

Equal Play. Equal Pay.

Gripping Documentary LFG Streaming 15 September On Paramount+.

LFG (we’ll let you google what it stands for) is a gripping documentary about the United States women’s national soccer team and their public, and controversial, fight for equal pay.

Told by the voices of the players, LFG takes an intimate look inside the historic gender-discrimination, class-action lawsuit filed by America’s most successful soccer team against their employer, the U.S. Soccer Federation to prove their worth - and ultimately that of the millions of women around the world who are also paid less than their male peers. The lawsuit was filed just three months before the team’s incredible World Cup victory.

Following a year in the players’ lives via behind-the-scenes moments and interviews with players Megan Rapinoe, Jessica McDonald, Becky Sauerbrunn and others, LFG gives viewers unprecedented access to the physical demands and pressures of being among the world’s top athletes, showcasing the players’ courage, unflinching spirit, and resiliency in an effort to create lasting social change.

So I googled it… stands for Let’s Fucking Go, apparently.

A HBO Max Original from CNN Films.

I’m impressed how many series outside their own company that they’re cherry picking for the streamer locally.

A lot of people took advantage of it. I know of around 50 people today saw it on social media and used it.
It’s been corrected now, but interested to see if people get cancelled and refunded or charged the remaining amount

One Of 2021’s Finest Dramas Is Here.

American Rust, Starring Jeff Daniels And Maura Tierney, Streaming Now On Paramount+.

A compelling family drama and timeless story about good people making bad choices, American Rust is the gritty and engrossing drama series based on Philipp Meyer’s lauded novel of the same name.

Streaming exclusively on Paramount+, the unflinching new series stars Emmy® winner Jeff Daniels (who also serves as an Executive Producer) as Del Harris, the complicated and compromised chief of police of a Pennsylvania Rust Belt town, who is forced to decide how far he’s willing to go when the son of the woman he loves (Emmy nominee Maura Tierney) is accused of murder .

Take a harrowing journey to a small town with big secrets, where people are driven by loyalty, love and desperation – and bad choices come far too easy, in American Rust.

As posted in Nickelodeon thread, The Smurfs will be streaming on Paramount+ from September 25.

Labeled as a Paramount+ Original (rather than exclusive), but I believe this is a Comedy Central documentary.

Looks like new CBS procedural NCIS Hawaii coming exclusively to Paramount+.
