Paramount, a Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) and UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organisation, announced that Paramount+ will become the exclusive home in Australia for all new episodes of the popular talent-discovery show Dana White’s Contender Series and the groundbreaking reality series The Ultimate Fighter beginning in 2026.

The addition of the two UFC fight series expands on the announcement in October in which Paramount+ subscribers in Australia will have access to all live UFC Fight Night events and will enjoy the prelim fights for all numbered events as part of their subscription from January 2026.

Dana White’s Contender Series features a new crop of UFC hopefuls looking to impress Dana White and the UFC matchmakers for the chance to secure a contract with the UFC.

The brainchild of UFC CEO Dana White, the hit series first aired in 2017 and has served as a springboard for the careers of numerous fighters who went on to be UFC champions, contenders and stars, including Sean O’Malley, Jamahal Hill, Jack Della Maddalena, Carlos Prates, Michael Morales, Bo Nickal, Maycee Barber, Jailton Almeida, Brendan Allen, Caio Borralho, Johnny Walker and more.

The Ultimate Fighter is the iconic reality television series that has introduced millions of new and die-hard fans to future UFC champions and top contenders. The show features professional MMA fighters living together and follows them as they train and compete against each other for a prized contract with the UFC.

Season three of School Spirits plunges Maddie Nears and her friends into a deeper, darker mystery as the veil between worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew. After clawing her way back to life, Maddie struggles with terrifying visions and the weight of protecting both the living and the dead, while Simon – trapped in the afterlife – becomes obsessed with the secrets buried in Split River High’s scars. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Will Launch Globally On Paramount+ On Thursday, 15 January

Paramount+ unveiled a new exclusive scene from its original series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy during the Paramount+ presentation at CCXP in São Paolo, Brazil, one of the largest fan conventions in the world. The series will premiere globally with two episodes on Thursday, 15 January on Paramount+.

Series guest star Paul Giamatti, who plays the Klingon and Tellarite “Nus Braka,” was on site to reveal the exclusive scene on stage at CCXP. In the scene, the U.S.S. Athena, which serves as both the school and ship for the Starfleet Cadets, comes under sudden attack — only for the assailant to be revealed as Nus Braka.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy introduces viewers to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.

The series stars Holly Hunter as the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy, alongside Starfleet cadets played by Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins and Bella Shepard, plus Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, and guest stars Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman, as well as recurring guest stars Gina Yashere and Paul Giamatti.
