At least there are no newsroom losses. You’d rather sales staff lose jobs than journalists. Makes sense these back office roles are consolidated to Melbourne.

What an odd thing to say. A job is a job.

No job is good to lose but in media we don’t want journalists losing as it will reduce diversity in voices across different media outlets.

CNN is reporting that Paramount has emerged victorious in the months long battle for Warner’s Brothers Discovery after Netflix backed out of the bidding war, leaving Paramount poised to acquire WBD’s vast media empire, including CNN.

Huge news for Paramount and 10.

What, to both go under in a few years?

It’s either the best thing to happen to 10 (I’ll believe it when I see it) or it’s going to get flicked off again soon.

10 News Presents International Women’s Day 2026

There are women on your screen every day, delivering the news, calling the game, telling the stories that matter. But what does it really take to do that work, and what does it mean to do it as a woman?

To celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day, some of 10’s most trusted voices across news, sport and entertainment sat down together for an honest, wide-ranging conversation about life at the forefront of Australian media.

They spoke about the confidence it takes to show up, the responsibility that comes with being seen, and the quiet but powerful ways they use their platforms for good. They reflected on the moments that shaped them, the advice they carry with them, and the questions they wish would stop following them through the door.

As Australia’s only commercial network with women leading its news operation at a national level, 10 is proud to amplify these voices — not just on screen, but in the conversations that matter most.

Split over two conversations, Brianna Parkins first interviews Sandra Sully, Amelia Brace, Natalie Forrest and Georgie Tunny.

Then Brianna spoke with Tara Rushton, Angela Bishop, Sharyn Ghidella and Ursula Heger.
