What are you saying? I didn’t read the same thing so I am a little confused.
I saw a promo for an MTV program air on 10 last week so the promotion aspect you’re talking about is working both ways
I saw a few promos promoting Nickelodeon shows on 10 a few days ago as well. It definitely seems like much more than just paid spots by Nick and Foxtel.
I might be mistaken, but I’m pretty sure that video is just a sales post for advertising and highlighting their suite of channels and the reach they have and their target audience etc.
There has been nothing from Ten about it, just one ‘exclusive’ on a website.
Its not happening.
An “exclusive” which was bs. Never trust Blackbox.
Think we’ve seen this conversation before. It’s a stretch to make a generalisation about the reliability of their website, they have broken insider news multiple times which turned out to be true. Of course they’ve made mistakes but then so has TV Tonight before and people still trust them as a source.
Our strike rate is very good, but no-one is forcing you to read the website. Luckily for those who do, they’re more informed about the industry.
Out of curiosity do you guys still think the MTV Multi is a thing? I know you guys have a good track record so I wondered what happened to this.
yes. A lot of things are causing a delay, including the current pandemic.
Any word on Nickelodeon go to Free to air too?
It’s not my story so I don’t know all the ins-and-outs sorry.
“If I was a betting man I would suspect within the next month, with MasterChef doing the numbers it’s doing and the halo effect we’ve got across all of our schedule, that 10 might just be the number two network in 25-54s and all the key demographics,” says Prosser. “I wouldn’t put a date on it but I’d say in the next month.
MasterChef is currently up 53% year-on-year.
Making MTV and Nick streaming only channels on 10Play would be a brilliant way to drive huge usage on the platform.
That would be a great idea.
Their demos would rather watch on apps then via antenna anyway
In March, ViacomCBS and Foxtel signed a distribiution deal to put Nickelodeon content on Foxtel’s new streaming service Project Ares and they also apparently renewed their joint venture for Nickelodeon Australia. Fetch TV also has rights to broadcast Nickelodeon.
Makes you wonder how Ten fits into this, if at all. Content like this could help establish All Access as a usable product and/or add to 10play as a streamed channel.
True, but Foxtel could’ve signed non-exclusive rights or SVOD or even for limited seasons of content, that could still provide 10 locally with some content to use across its assets as we are already seeing with kids programming on Peach.
Yes. It might not be an exclusive contact
The trend in the US is content windows across different platforms
