Paramount Australia & New Zealand

It’ll be in the fine print somewhere that 10 would pay the legal fees only if she used their liars, ooops, lawyers

That’s not the issue here. The issue is whether they agreed to or not.

Yeah I think David’s judgement is clouded by his obvious dislike for Lisa.

It’s all well and good to say she should pay it just because of what she earns or the fact she’s been benched and still being paid.

But a contract is a contract and she’s entitled to that money, as well 10 wouldn’t have agreed to pay it if they didn’t think she was worth it.

Lucky courts (and tv networks) don’t work on the basis of public opinion.

From CNBC:

Wells Fargo analyst Steven Cahall suggested earlier this year that Bakish should shut down the company’s streaming business entirely, despite the fact that Paramount+ has accumulated more than 60 million subscribers.

“We believe Paramount Global is worth a lot more either as a content arms dealer or as a break-up for sale story,” Cahall wrote in a note to clients in May. “Great content, misguided strategy.”

Executives at Paramount Global continue to hold out hope that a large technology comany, will view the collection of assets as a way to bolster their content aspirations, according to people familiar with the matter.

Paramount+’s 61 million subscribers could help supersize an existing streaming service such as Apple TV+ or Amazon’s Prime Video, or give Alphabet’s YouTube a bigger foothold into subscription streaming beyond the National Football League’s Sunday Ticket and YouTube TV

A post was merged into an existing topic: Ten Network & Paramount+ 2024

Where do we watch the Upfronts?

Great way to start the Upfronts!

TV Blackbox can reveal Network 10 is set to deliver its worst ratings share since OzTam ratings began in 2001. The news also means 10 is now firmly Australia’s #4 network behind Seven, Nine and the ABC.

What time does the embargo end?

That is some really juvenile reporting.

Black box is not objective and has a huge axe to grind with 10.

The reporting has just as much agenda as 10’s PR.

AFAIK the upfronts aren’t been live streamed, with smaller intimate presentations in each state instead this year.

10 haven’t provided embargoed info in advance this year like in previous years, they’ll likely release it as it’s happening / post this mornings event.

There is absolutely a headline there, but I don’t agree with the tone / timing of the article.

Also important to distinguish that the article was written by Rob, 1/3 of the contributors to that site so may not be reflective of everyone’s views.

Any reporting like this is so full of caveats, depends how you dice the data and accept the change in viewing trends as part of that data.

IMO, 10 have done pretty well this year Mon - Thur, but they only have themselves to blame for their performance bringing them down Fri - Sat.

If there’s one good thing here, it’s that there are a number of changes being made next year which would suggest they’re not resting on their laurels.

Does it go far enough? Probably not, but it’s a start in the right direction.

Denyer for Deal or No Deal.

Oh 10. You just do not get it.

Not sure what he has over 10 to be in the 6pm slot again  Interesting re Ready Steady Cook.

Lots of confirmations there that were already leaked.

Wow! Ready Steady Cook. Presumably that will replace the living room.

Only about four “new” shows. This can’t be the full list.

I thought Colin Lane would be hosting for RSC. Really like him as host

If 10 are gonna Succeed in the Traditional News Slot occupied by 7 and 9, They’ll have to Simulcast Deal or no Deal or Ready Steady Cook on 10 Bold and/or 10 Peach, Same goes with the Newer Franchises.

No they don’t.
