Can someone tell these shopping channels that they are wasting money buying space on FTA television. Surely no one is ringing that number and all the online hits would be via Google, not the channel.

Well, surely their sales would prove to them whether the channels work or not? They wouldn’t just be doing it for fun. If anything, the sales they make would be a better indication of how many people they reach, than the flawed television ratings system we have.
If someone like Katherine Kelly Lang from The Bold and The Beautiful comes to Australia a few times a year to appear on TVSN, she must be selling a shedload of kaftans through the channel to justify those trips here.

openshop will be selling a hair growth tonic called Advangen’s évolis® Professional anti-ageing hair care products from late October 2019. This article points out that Cellmid who makes the product does not buy airtime on shopping channels, instead the channels take a cut of the sales revenue. Cellmid claims to have made a fortune selling their products on the QVC Japan shopping channel.

I’ve noticed that Openshop has been appearing weekday mornings from 9:00am for 90 mins on Prime 7flix and weekend mornings at 5:00am for 30 mins on Prime 7TWO. Maybe this is a small step towards getting carriage on a Prime channel sometime in the future?

I think it’s just a clarification that openshop is appearing via Prime’s secondary channels, not that’s what the channels are called.

That or Prime gets some money from carrying it, but don’t have enough space to carry it full-time.

Looks like Openshop is not broadcasting an EPG guide anymore on Seven 75. Last program I have is July 25 on the guide.
