I disagree, I’m glad they are focusing on the issues. This is probably the last show left doing issues, our 7pm shows have abandoned it altogether. I don’t see a problem with them sticking with a topic considering we don’t have the luxury of a public broadcaster to air these things on, that’s just my thoughts.

The 1News brand is below par, if comparing to the 90’s Professional Era of broadcasting TV in NZ. Over time managers have taken their eyes off the product as it’s market dominator, but now there’s many players & platforms to get the News you want, when and where.

The news desk circle white light was not on today and made it really dark
Jeremy really carries the show when Wendy co-hosts, which to her credit must be quite the adjustment after decades in straight news.
I found Wendy unable to go off script and take a jab or make a comment of her own opinion
A nice short piece on A Curent Affair not being so current and local content being mainly TVNZ pieces

Correct. I saw a comment by TVNZ 1 saying it would start at 4am but that was incorrect. But the 11:30pm start time is all official (via their TV Guide). Thanks for the heads up.
