Presenter changes were to be on air from 24th, obviously TVNZ can’t wait to get the new team underway. Thank god election is delayed, hopefully better host scheduling will be done by the new HONACA.

It was mentioned in the media week release that her first presenting night was brought forward so she could be part of the red/blue team set-up. Andrew is in the alternate team so will be on Weds/Thurs.

That’s just a normal camera. They need to take ideas from AJE and BBC with one presenter and circular desks.
They need to flag these shots entirely.
And for coming up or story intro angle the shot like this And have the presenter on either side. Keep the camera Just below eye level with Presenter anything over makes for a messy shot.

Appreciate the disclaimer the presenter gives regarding masks when they cross to someone in Auckland. Prevents all those gremlins on social media crying out.

Wonder if they could use a graphic on the lower third to explain that rather than the reader. I too appreciate it, though.

They need it. I don’t understand why TVNZ and Newshub have some of the worst graphics around. They are effective but just visually very unappealing

I don’t mind TVNZ news graphics at all. Agree about Newshub’s though, they need to fire their designer… Just look at Newshub Nation refresh recently & Rebuilding paradise with Paul Henry for examples!

I rate all Aussie news graphics over NZs, maybe SBS News is the one let down. 9s recent new graphics were a step backwards but nothing could be worse than Breakfasts lower third
