According to legend, Ten’s makeup artists were instructed to add wrinkles to Cosser’s face to make him look “more experienced” (read: older)

Cosser would eventually found Broadcom, who held the VFL rights for a year in 1987, and later ran Network Ten for a while through Northern Star Holdings.

A few injuries on that show IIRC.

Michael Slater suffered a severe tendon injury after his partner’s blade accidentally skated over his hand.

Giaan Rooney dislocated her ankle just before the second episode, forcing her to withdraw.

Annalise Braakensiek fractured a rib during rehearsals and later twisted her ankle during the first episode, leading to her withdrawal.

Jules Lund experienced a spinal injury during rehearsals, which included a fainting spell and temporary inability to move.

I didn’t remember the two matches went head to head.

Matthew Lloyd (who kicked two goals in Victoria v Allies match, which the Allies won) spoke about the decline of AFL State of Origin in 1997-1999 on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports last night.

Karl Stefanovic… avoided injury, leading to a running gag on Get This that he was secretly a robot.
