This breaks up the successful partnership she had with Bruce Paige which (save for a brief period in the early noughties when Jillian Whiting presented on weeknights) had lasted since the mid-1990s.

It would have been a very watered down and safe version, I imagine.

it was, although it did try to stretch the boundaries with regards to casual discussion of sex, but instead put the emphasis on comedy rather than titillation.
