18 July 1976: The ABC, Seven and Nine networks commence coverage of the 1976 Olympic Games from Montreal.

Nine also goes outside of the group arrangement to mount its own exclusive overnight coverage of highlights and results as they occur.

The 0-10 Network does not participate in the coverage, limiting its Olympic coverage to updates broadcast during news bulletins.

20/7/2009 The Project premieres on Network Ten under the title The 7PM Project.

Among the first guests were recent MasterChef Australia winner Julie Goodwin as well as interviews with Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols.

Said interviews were conducted by Ruby Rose, who left the show after a short time to focus on her acting career.

(P.S. The Rachel Nichols interviewed here was the actress, not the ESPN sportscaster who’s found herself in controversy as of late)
