Olympics Coverage - History

Click on ‘Live’ which then lists the Seven channels at the top then lists all the sports and if they’re live or when they’ll be live next

Seems like when Sunrise is on, 7Two’s coverage will be hosted from the main studio instead of a voiceover. Todd was doing links this morning and just handed over to Jim

Okay, thanks. The BBC iPlayer is detecting Hola so I’ve lost that option. The ‘Live’ link is hidden away inside the three-bar menu. I didn’t look in there.

Well said!

7Two is showing a replay of a rugby seven’s game now with ‘Live and Free’ up.

After reading all these comments, a few things…

  1. Mel was most likely hired after her work on the BBL Cricket on Ch 10.

  2. Ch 7 are very Melbourne-centric, certainly when it comes to sport. So why are we not surprised people like Bruce McAvaney, Hamish McLachlan, Todd Woodbridge & 2/3 of the production/commentary staff have flown from Melbourne?

  3. If this SD/HD/Station switch across metro & regional Australia isn’t confusing enough… Why are Melbourne & Adelaide now getting Saturday Night AFL on the main channel, from this week?

Do you seriously expect Seven to have anywhere near the budget as the BBC? We are 1/3 of the population size of the UK. Of course BBC and many other countries are going to have a far bigger budget as far bigger audience reach.

That must be a relief.

Is Melbourne ahead on the medal tally, Luke? It would be remiss of you not to point that out if it is the case.

Big ratings yesterday / last night for the Olympics!

Even for Kylie Gillies’ arvo show (I take it that’s what “highlights” is)?

35% network share & Seven News whopping…

@TV.Cynic @Ryan

I was responding to people’s queries about the hosts, Mel, etc

Switchover before Sunrise starts

Another blot for Seven is they’ve shown a lot of tennis today - after I praised them for not showing any yesterday.

I heard Ayr. Near Townsville have been doing well in the Olympics so far. :stuck_out_tongue:
