Is that actually what he has said? I assumed he would be commentating the swimming.
No Basil and Giaan are doing swimming - Bruce will definitely be a part of the track and field commentary team. Heās the best in the business in that regard.

I just always thought he did both the swimming and athletics. Iām not complaining.

I donāt see the relevance to maturity. She was obviously excited after winning gold and it was just a joke, and she immediately added that it was an honour to swim next to Ledecky.

I actually think she is friends with whoever it was from America and that is why she said it,

A few screencaps below of the CBC coverage here in Canada. For those unaware, CBC is the national broadcaster of Canada and the major rights holder for Rio, broadcasting on only one OTA channel. They have sub-licensed coverage to two cable sports networks ā TSN (5 channels) and Sportsnet (two channels).
All the CBC hosting (as far as I have seen) is from their studio in Rio while TSN and Sportsnet host their coverage from their Toronto studios and cross to CBC commentators in Rio, but Iāve only see a couple hours of the cable coverage so they could have their own staff in Rio also.

Actually Bruce did both swimming and athletics in Athens. Iām pretty sure he did it Beijing as well. Basil did the rowing in Athens and Beijing.
Dennis hasnāt called swimming since 2000. Then he moved to Nine. When he came back to seven he did not call swimming.

Bruce should be really hosting this first week from Rio and using a rio based studio. Jim Wilson is annoying as fuck. Also Iām sick of these hosts standing ā¦itās annoying. Also these hosts being Sydney lacks authenticity. You can tell they arenāt there and very removed from the action at rio.
