I think there were only 4-5 ad breaks during nearly four hours of opening ceremony broadcast, so well done to Seven.

And those breaks only showed one ad each time which really made it impressive. As cmo said earlier, they’ll make up for it tonight with the extended highlights

Peter Donegan. I figured he must be in Rio when he wasn’t listed to call any AFL games for Crocmedia this week. It’s great that the Olympic app allows a choice of commentary as I really like Peter Donegan’s work and will be glad to hear him call track and field on the world feed. Given’s his global exposure as a golf commentator, I’m wondering if he will call any of the Olympic golf events as well.

I noticed this morning and you can see on the right side of these caps that there appears to be some sort of secondary area, possibly with a desk or couch off to the side of the main stage area.
