Chad Kroeger has a great rock music voice and his duet with Santana was a great song, one that stations like Triple M have forgotten about,it doesn’t matter if this song is 20 years old,I like it
Yes I recently watched that documentary; FD seemed like a Grade A tool there. At least Jonathan Davis (Korn) seemed to be genuinely upset at what transpired.
(Disclaimer: I generally dislike nu-metal and play Korn and such more as a joke).
I agree. I want 4BH to play 90s and even some current hits, but the 90s songs they are choosing leave a lot to be desired. There are countless better ones they should be playing.
Yep, I am one of those people who don’t mind Nickelback minus Photograph & a few others they brought out.
Someday, How You Remind Me and Savin Me gets a good run on my Spotify playlist. Even Chad Kroeger Hero was not bad either.
I hate this one too ,always did
‘All I Wanna Do ‘ by Sheryl Crow.I might have liked it way back in 1994 but as the years rolled on and this song was flogged to death by most commercial music stations I soon got sick of it
4BH play a song from the “vault’ every hour, today they played this one.
Should’ve left it in there ,this song has had it’s day.She had so many hits besides this one .
When 4KQ used to have a music vault, you knew the song they would play was a song you really hadn’t heard for ages .
Absolutely. I played ‘A Change Will Do You Good’ a few weeks back and have ‘Soak Up The Sun’ (spoiler alert) in next week’s list.
I had a Sheryl Crow greatest hits CD and I like these 2 songs much better,’Strong Enough’ is another great song
Her best song in my books.
Yet most radio stations don’t play it
I’ve been listening back to a Take 40 countdown from w/b March 27, 1994 this weekend.* Most of the songs are now the exclusive domain of community radio, with the exception of the really big hits. Even the #1, ‘It’s Alright’ by East 17, is more likely to be heard on The Conga Line than on commercial radio.
*Available here- some Perth radio airchecks from the 90s as well:
Unfortunately it’s missing songs 39 and 40 as well as the Top 3, but the Top 5 was a bit of a shocker:
Can’t believe they played Denis Leary almost uncensored as well. That puts my castigation over Puddle Of Mudd in its proper perspective.
I think 4BH needs to rest these songs for now as I hear them at least once a week:
10cc, “The Things We do for Love”
Candi Staton, “Young Hearts Run Free”
ELO, “Don’t Bring Me Down”
Cherish by Madonna on smooth. it feels like they play it 10 times a day
Just heard Come On Eileen - I think I’ve heard it enough to last for a few years to come.
Happened to hear “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars on Triple M 102.9 Newcastle at work and later at my gym this afternoon. A song that has been flogged to oblivion since its release in 2014 and has appeared in way too many family movies including the live action lilo and stitch remake!
As much as I love Bruno Mars’ earlier stuff from the “Doo Wops and Hooligans” and “Unorthodox Jukebox” albums, that collaboration can just go in the bin!
Put off more from the remake now ngl
I don’t agree,I like this song
On Saturday night, I heard Smooth 91.5 play “Call Me Maybe”.
Triple J playing “Denial is a River” by Doechii - STOP
As much as I hate to say this, anything by Cyril that comes on the radio is a skip for me.
His latest remix: that of “There She Goes” by Sixpence None the Richer
What will he do next? A remix of an old U2 song?
