Although Mr Nolan says this was misconstrued, this reminded me of Liz Gunn, who did quit live on air (from
co-hosting Breakfast with Mike Hosking).
I don’t suppose this has ever turned up on YouTube? I know Gunn stuck around at TVNZ for a year or two after quitting Breakfast (many years later, she infamously called Hosking a ‘desiccated human’.) Then her career took a rather different direction…
