Prime and Capital had similar logos that would appear on screen every so often not just during movies during most shows and was similar in size but at the bottom of the screen not the top
Even if it was rather Coffs Harbour north coast centric
No, the Northern NSW market was aggregated on 31 December 1991 with full aggregation completed by May 1992.
Lismore/Coffs Harbour was NRTVs home market, Tamworth/Taree was NEN Primes home market and Newcastle was NBN TVs home market
I have been trying to find information about when NRTV axed the weekly current affairs programme that aired at 7:30pm Fridays on the Gold Coast, called Gold Coast Review
Below is a youtube video from NRTV. Its mainly a mix of ads and network promos but at the has a NRTV Evening News update (at 13:51) with NRTV reporter and fill in presenter, Christine Rudolph. It was obviously a Friday night as she gave a enjoy your weekend comment
And a NRTV News weather and end of bulletin from 1989.
Are you sure about the red and blue being in 1988 as the NRTV News logo was solid silver as per the end titles in the video featured in the link above
Itâs definitely 1988. I do remember seeing that ID at the time when I used to go to the Gold Coast back then to visit relatives. The graphics were from the Cascom library. TV2 used the same ones that year as well.

Theyâve used red and blue in the logo for a few years before that, and a few years after that.
In February1987 they were still using the 11/8 logo in the circle actually. I saw it during an episode of Father Dear Father which was on about 10pm at night after On The Buses.
there appears to have been a time they had both NRTV and 11/8 in the logo

(apologies for the thumbnail scan!)
Thanks for the clarity. I just remember how the 11/8 wasnt just a fixed station ident when Father Dear Father Dear Father cane back from a commercial break it sort of rotated in a circular motion
Hereâs the video I took the screenshot from.
Was it recorded on a Friday by any chance?
It was recorded 9 December 1988, according to the description.
Yep, a Friday
Then it was. My birthday was 30 November which was a Wednesday
