Sorry I was getting the sports mixed up, one Olympics feed (the main one) moves to 9Life on Thursdays and Fridays during men’s NRL in West Australian markets.
NRLW SET TO DAZZLE AS WOMEN’S SPORT TAKES CENTRE STAGE
ROUND 2: WOMEN IN LEAGUE
LIVE AND FREE ON THE 9NETWORK
WESTPAC NRLW WRAP FROM 10.30AM AEST SATURDAY
As women’s sports takes centre stage in Nine’s exclusive coverage of the Paris Olympics, the NRLW promises an exhilarating weekend of top-tier action for the Harvey Norman Women In League Round, with every game live and free on the 9Network.
It starts on Saturday from 11.00am with the defending premiers, Newcastle Knights, playing their first home game at GIO Stadium, against the Canberra Raiders. Both teams are brimming with confidence: Knights hooker Olivia Higgins has scored three tries in her last four games, while Raiders winger Madison Bartlett has four from her past three home games.
Next up, at 12.30pm, the Gold Coast Titans meet the Wests Tigers, aiming to extend the Tigers’ losing streak in Queensland.
For a full preview of the weekend games, the Westpac NRLW Wrap from 10.30am on Saturday morning, with Emma Lawrence, Ruan Sims, Allana Ferguson and Marlee Silva, will bring viewers all the latest news in the women’s game.
Then in triple-treat Sunday, Allianz Stadium will host a big double-header: Eels v Sharks, both first-round victors, followed by Roosters v Broncos, both chasing their first win of the season.
The weekend concludes with the third Sunday arvo game: the Cowboys at home to the Dragons in Townsville. The Cowboys need to bounce back after conceding 128 points in their last three home games. For the Dragons, fullback Teagan Berry will be out to add to her tally of 14 tries in her last 12 NRLW appearances.

How long have KIA sponsored Nine’s NRL? Wonder if it’s tied-in with their broader, long-term summer of tennis partnership or they negotiated some way with that, can’t recall prior to 2019 or even the past year or two?

That NRLW media release added above, says “9LifeHD”. Am I missing something? @TV.Cynic
Agtee, LCN 94 still looks very SD to me.
Also odd that pre-match is now starting at 7pm on Thursday nights, never used to start until 7.30.
Might as well while there’s no ACA.
They could have previously done pre-match on 9Gem from 7pm, but didn’t.
Yeah but they probably thought they would loose ACA audience if they did that.
Friday Night Countdown (AFL Friday Pre Game) and Better Homes & Gardens on Seven for many years now anyone?
The NRL coverage finished at 9.52pm. The game finished a few minutes prior. No rambling on for 45 minutes like their usual post-match segments. Nine went back into Olympics coverage.
NRL in Perth tonight, as is AFL (2nd game in a rare double header), this on top of Paris 2024, which has many Australians and medals up for grabs and into the weekend. Big and possibly all nighter for many
Missed opportunity not to have a promo campaign and special main channel coverage in Western Australia tonight, but I guess they’d never do that during the Olympics in a non-NRL state, especially Wa.
Looks like 9 call nrlw from the venue then must call it from the ground on a monitor for the second one.
I thought they’d be waiting for the Olympics to finish first, NRL finals still 6 weeks away.
Playout error on 9Gem in Melbourne last night and this morning, airing NRL promos for this afternoon but showing main channel, should be 9Go!

Wonder how they’ll promote the unfortunate 9Life coverage for tonight’s NRLW, possibly on-air in-program during the earlier matches?
Promo before just had “9Go!HD” (referring to the prior games), but did verbally mention the third “prime time” game, but no mention including text of Life.
The NRL app showing the NRLW match between Cowboys and Dragons being shown on “9LifeHD” when the channel is not in HD.
They probably mean the 9Now version. That looks to be HD (just checked).
I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled a quiet swifty over the NRL for two weeks, could be that HD is indeed a requirement for NRLW too but NRL just assumed Life was HD when they found out it’d be on this channel but Nine didn’t say anything
And yes, Life is Full HD on 9Now streaming.
