Allana Ferguson has been a busy lady.
She was on 9GEMs Wallabies Test coverage last night, backed up again for Origin tonight.
Well done Allana.

But doesânt she do most of her work up here?
Filling in for (and likely succeeding, post-retirement) Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair? Thatâs done in Sydney.
Oh yeah, Well lucky they kept the border open haha lol.

Exceptional VPN Numbers for the State of Origin 2021. THis shows that Streaming is on the rise, while the 5-city ratings are down. State of Origin 2021 TV ratings were up from last yearâs State of Origin series. Sadly, the days of having 2 million metro viewers watching the State of Origin are pretty much long gone.
Allana Ferguson is on Nineâs coverage again tonight.
Thatâs their last 3 games over the last 4 nights that sheâs been their football coverage.
Which makes me wonder - where is Ruan Sims?
The top of the table clash between Storm and Panthers will be the FTA match this afternoon (August 1) as part of the rescheduling of this weekendâs matches, due to the 3-day COVID lockdown in SE Queensland. Fox Sports has agreed to give up exclusive rights to the match, which kicks off at 4.05pm AEST.
Had Cleary and Toâo been playing, I donât think FOX would have given that game up. It would have been a cracker with those 2 playing. As it is, the undermanned Panthers should mean a fairly convincing win for the Storm.
Why do they persist with wearing masks when on TV? They are live broadcasting, and as such donât need one. And especially from Brisbane (where the correspondents are outside) and not in Sydney (studio) inside? It makes it difficult to tell what they are saying half the time (they are former Rugby League players after all!).
Part of the NRLâs agreement with the Queensland govt to be allowed to continue today. Compulsory masks for all staff and officials not playing.
Why though? Reporters shouldnât have to wear masks (they are not required to). I mean just when they are live (on camera).
Because the NRL is so desperate to continue they offered to Qld govt to further tighten up a whole lot of their measures to continue.
I agree a lot of it is performative sometimes but given it looked this time yesterday like there would be no NRL full round at all, theyâve done what is required.
I donât reporters have to, but with NRL players its a diffrent storey. you only need to watch the Olympics to see an athlete waring a mask before and after compertion.
Yes I know. Iâm talking about Australia and reporters.
It doesnât matter there dealing with the delta strain now. Same as Japan. The QLD government will be wanting to get on top of this before it gets out of hand. Thatâs why they would have suddenly made them wear masks. Iâm not too sure what the current rules are in QLD for reporters.
and imagine deaf people watching!
And that the closed captions are often wrong and donât make sense and are a good 5-10 seconds behind the audio content.
Relaunch Alert!
