Nine Tennis Coverage

More sore loser mentality from Warburton.

I don’t see what’s controversial about what Warburton said. He’s simply saying a statement of fact (i.e., if Nine are willing to pay an amount that convinces TA not to take the AO rights out to market, that’s up to them).

Nine with tennis for 2 weeks in January, May/June, June/July and August/September is beneficial for them instead of cricket from November to February

On the flip side, Seven could still (potentially) have the rights to this day, if they actually coughed up the amount TA probably rightfully deserved for a long time. All I’m saying is if Nine come up with a sweet sweet amount in their exclusive period, Seven shouldn’t really be carrying on and all. However yes, under previous management (Worner/Shtein), as opposed to Warburton/Martin, although still overseen by the same board (Stokes/Stokes Jr/McWilliam/Evans & Co).

Tennis Australia will launch a new mixed team competition called United Cup this summer. Group matches will be held across Sydney, Brisbane and Perth from December 29 to January 4. The winners of each group will play off, and the city winners advance to the United Cup Final Four in Sydney, played from January 6 to 8.

Another reason why Nine want to retain the rights.

Stan Sport should also get Davis Cup and BJK Cup with Nine only airing Australian ties and the Final (only if Australia participates)

Nine no doubt pleased that Djokovic will be able to play in the AO this year.
