Nine Tennis Coverage

I checked the TV guide and it didn’t say the tennis was on at 5.30

What are peoples ratings predictions for tonight?

I predict at least 2 million viewers .

Hmmmm. 1.8M?

It’s cold and miserable in Melbourne this evening so numbers should skew higher. I’ll go 2.2. If it’s goes into a third set 2.4.

Tiebreak would a miracle for 9 and it’s advertisers.

Guessing TV Cynic posted a QLD-tailored ad.

Admired the way Nine handled the winning point - didn’t overplay it. Nice winning line but allowed the pictures and SFX to do the talking.

Does any other countries/network take this 9 Post match interview feed?

I think ESPN and Eurosport do their own post-match interview with the champion.

Nine’s interview with Barty ended just as the men’s doubles final began. We missed the player entrance and warmup though.

The Doubles March started at 10.06aedt, at the conclusion of the Barty post match interview (which was only seconds between the two).

The Barty Interview was presented by James Bracey, who was joined by Casey Dellacqua and Alicia Molik.

The world feed didn’t take the Nine interview but showed behind the scenes footage of it taking place in a split screen while the Men’s doubles were warming up. They had a camera slightly off the Nine set at an odd angle showing this.

Then immediately after the Nine interview concluded the world feed hosts interviewed Ash remotely from their host position.

Unfortunately I can’t get any screenshots of this as Stan Sport seems to have blocked my screenshots tonight.

Bracey was terrible during the interview - should have just stuck with Alicia, who did a good job.

Coverage finished at 12.09am aedt.

Will be interesting to see the tv ratings in just under 10 hours time for both games (and how they code the segments for the ratings).
