You misquoted me 
the key thing is to ADD to that: ‘every match live+ad free on Stan’. Ie advertise both 9Now and Stan Sport whilst differentiating the two services (free vs ad free)

Usually find Lleyton Hewitt’s commentary pretty incisive, but pronouncing it “back ‘and” each time is starting to grate and I can’t un’ear it now.

i like the music 9 use for aus open set highlights and for when court split screen is up, and often used coming back after an ad break, it was used in last years aus open as well

The main two new additions to Nine’s coverage this year have been absolute standouts in my opinion- that is Darren Cahill and Roz Kelly.
I’d never heard Darren commentate before but I think he’s now my favourite of 9’s callers- really natural and insightful. I wish we heard him more often, but I understand he’s got a bunch of other commitments. I hope he calls the Men’s final but realise that that’s pretty unlikely. At the very least I hope he permanently replaces John McEnroe!
Roz has also slotted in to hosting afternoons so well, and actually feels more comfortable/natural than Bec imo. She genuinely seems to know her tennis too. I would love to see Roz host the Women’s final for Nine, I think she’d do a great job.

Nine has benefitted from ESPN significantly scaling back their TV coverage of the Australian Open this year (partly due to COVID travel restrictions and partly in order to push ESPN+) which has freed Cahill’s availability. It’s unlikely though he’ll feature heavily in Nine’s coverage from the quarterfinals onwards because ESPN will show them on TV so that’ll be Cahill’s priority.

This switchover from 9HD to grainy SD coverage on 9Go every night on 6pm is bloody annoying.
They need to find a way to also make 9Go HD during the tennis. I realise I can stream but given the effort and the fact streaming is delayed by those extra few seconds I haven’t bothered.
Either that or transition the 9Gem game to 9Go at 6pm for an hour would be a good move given it is meant to be the secondary feed.

The issue with that is that then two different streams are affected, whereas its easier to just move one.

Ratings for a Barty finale would be pretty spectacular. The others should be mindful what they would put up against it, ie nothing big budget.
I’d love a Barty/Keys finale. Would be huge for US networks and obviously here also.
