Welcome home with Nine News:
Did the plane carrying Paralympic athletes arrive at the hangar or airport terminal? I notice Madison de Rosario was interviewed outside gate 10 of Qantas domestic terminal.
It seemed that those who could walk off the aircraft arrived in the terminal and then went to the hanger for the celebration.
Queensland, incl Paralympians and Olympians. :
Will there be a replay on 9now?
Very good program so far. Lots of reporters on the ground showcasing Nine’s Brisbane team. Great local production.
It isn’t on 9 or 9 now?
Watching on 9/WIN FTA in Queensland
Not on 9now for those not in QLD?
Well it’s a welcome home for QLD athletes so it’s only airing in QLD.
I have to say Josh Bavas has really grown since leaving the ABC. He really suits Nine News and would probably make a good presenter. Very natural interviewing all the athletes and seems to be quite comfortable with the live format.
The Trocadero block used for the Olympics was removed for the Paralympics. Other than a position by the Pont Alexandre III that was used occassionally C4 did all their presentation from within the venues, but that’s something they did at Tokyo too.
Wonder if they will do daily highlights or continuous coverage like they did with the Paris Paralympics last year.
IIRC, the last Winter Paralympics were mostly shown on 7+, though I think the Opening Ceremony was live either on the main Seven channel or 7mate.
The photo with Andrew Parsons, Matt Stanton, Ellie Cole et al. was shot at Nine’s HQ in Sydney during Parsons’ visit. It followed his trip to Brisbane to discuss preparations for Brisbane 2032 with the local organising committee.
