I’m in Thailand and watching in some bar and there’s no pre game coverage.
They mentioned the Winter Olympics for next year. A tad early? Yes. But why not promote it during the NRL’s deciding State of Origin match.

Origin III coverage ends at 11:18pm (AEST), going straight to Wimbledon QF on main channel.

I remember Nine had the Olympics watermark during the 2009 NRL finals series, ahead of the 2010 Winter Olympics which were held in Vancouver.
They also displayed it during the 2011 Grand Final (can’t remember if they showed it during that finals series), ahead of London 2012.

I’m sorry but why the F is Sam McClure anchoring the Wimbledon semis! When did he suddenly become a wwos star?
I mean, the secondary feed on the Australian Open is pushing it, but at least it’s just that, 9Gem and usually daytime session.
But apart from that, I thought he was purely a local GTV handyman, for shows like Footy Classified.
Did James Bracey do the NRL this evening? That might be the only presenter on 9s books this evening.

Off tube and it’s a disaster. You can tell they’re in a studio somewhere and there’s no atmosphere in the call. It’s a shame.

Really do like the World Aquatics graphics other than the use of the tower leaderboard during races - the pictures should tell the story of the race and live tracking graphics distract from that. They’re useful for Open Water events but distracting for the pool. Nice to see Nine able to adapt the graphics too.

At least they have local commentators and hosts for the evening sessions - heats session, at least today, was just the WWOS intro then straight to the world feed.
