Is there no Footy Classified this week because of the swimming?

Busy day for Ariarne Titmus, flying straight to Adelaide from Melbourne where she slid into the ice at the MCG for Big Freeze 11.

Is Titmus not swimming?

She’s been on hiatus all year.

Apologies for the low quality cap, but time for a quick game of “spot the error”

I’ve been staring at this for ten minutes… where’s the error?

The error is Alexa Leary is listed as competing in men’s 200m freestyle.

(I am not sure which categories she will compete in at the trials)

Good time slots for Australia given it’s in Singapore. Good pick up from nine.

Good pickup. Nine with Wimbledon and Swimming this winter makes it feel like the 2000s again.

Though this time around with live coverage beginning earlier, unlike pre-2010 when we had to wait until around 10:30pm, and (IIRC) coverage was either delayed or they crashed into live play midway through a match.

Imo I didn’t realise Nine didn’t already have the rights

Just saw it then, great promo, quite astonishing the depth of Nine’s sports for FTA in 2025, included a teaser for the 2026 Winter Olympics and voiced by Todd Woodbridge.

Nine is the home of sport in Australia now. It was not long ago when 7 had the rights to big-ticket events

9 circa 2002 was a better line up. Add AFL, F1, tennis grand slams (outside Aus) Golf majors and 2002 FIFA world cup.
