The Socceroos will play in Honduras on 6/11/2017 (Honduras Time). I’m not sure whether this match will be played in the capital, Tegucigalpa. it will clash with the Melbourne Cup. I am expecting that this match will kick off at 7/11/2017 @ 12:30 PM (AEDT).
Socceroos will meet Honduras again on 14 Nov 2017 at ANZ Stadium, Sydney. I think that kickoff will be at 8PM (Sydney time). Game to be televised live on 9Go!

Honduras’ home game against Australia should finish before 3pm AEDT, the start of the Melbourne Cup, even considering time difference. It will take some attention away from Cup Day though.

No it’s already confirmed they will be playing in Sydney. Remember 2005 Uruguay? Stadium Australia is a good luck charm!

This is incorrect. Dates have not been confirmed.

The International window runs from 6-14 November and doesn’t mean games are held on those days. Indeed, the 6th is the first day players are available to be in camp. I would expect the first game to be held no earlier than the 8th (Honduras time). As for the return leg, the 14th is feasible but not confirmed.

This year the matches were shown on 7pm and 8.45pm AEDT on Saturdays. Poor ratings mean Nine has to move coverage out of primetime. I assume the Sunday match will be shown on 9Gem in Queensland at least due to its live coverage of Intrust Super Cup.

Socceroos have confirmed its Final Play-offs in November. Australia will play over in Honduras on 10 Nov 2017. We don’t know which Honduras city will be playing as well as the kickoff time. Honduras will play against Australia at ANZ Stadium, Sydney on the 15 Nov 2017 with the game to be kicked off at 8PM (Sydney Time).

So the away match against Honduras will be shown in Australia on Saturday November 11 due to time difference. Depending on timing, it will probably be shown live on Nine before its coverage of Women’s Ashes day/night test from North Sydney which starts at 2.30pm AEDT.

WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

The Socceroos face their final hurdle for a berth at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in a winner-take-all clash with Honduras on Nine’s Wide World of Sports, this Saturday at 8.00am* on 9GO!

With their inspirational star, Tim Cahill, the Socceroos meet Honduras in a battle that invokes memories of Australia’s famous last-gasp victory over Uruguay in 2005.

The Socceroos have taken the long route on the road to Russia after missing out on automatic qualification, but have fought bravely to keep their World Cup dream alive in the final two-leg showdown.

The tough Hondurans have a South American playing style that will have the Socceroos’ defence on high alert in a hostile away environment.

The first play-off leg from San Pedro Sula in Honduras will be broadcast Live and Free on 9GO! before the second leg in Sydney next Wednesday, November 15, with coverage from 7.30pm* on Channel Nine.

Socceroos legend Craig Moore joins the Wide World of Sports commentary team for both games, alongside WWOS football expert Michael Bridges and host Clint Stanaway.

Nine’s Director of Sport, Tom Malone, said: “It’s all on the line for the Socceroos and Wide World of Sports will have all the action from both matches against Honduras, with the return leg in Sydney bringing back memories of that famous win sealed with a John Aloisi penalty shoot-out goal in 2005.”

Good that’s it’s got main channel hd coverage for the final game. Should do well.

Both games should really be on the main channel - a ‘do or die’ WC qualifier is more important than Weekend Today

A little bit about why the Women’s test match isn’t on free to air:

sign of the times for 9 there. Hmm…

The last line of the article, ABC grandstand is broadcasting the game online.

Well I wonder if we see an article by the ABC outlining why it didn’t boardcast the game on the main ABC radio station in each state?

That is a cheap shot at a poke at nine for not showing it on the main while they don’t even have it on main radio, again another rubbish article by the ABC!
