Their 9Now logo is a mix of the new one and the old one it seems. Don’t know why they couldn’t just use the standard current one.
With the recent news that Seven has swooped in on the remaining SCA TV assets in Tasmania, Darwin, the Spencer Gulf and Remote and Central Australia, is it possible that Seven could potentially sell off 9 Spencer Gulf over to Nine or WIN?
Highly doubtful. Seven will own and operate every license in which they air Seven content (minus two areas). If anything, there is slightly more chance Seven trying to pick up the two extra ones, rather than selling off.
I can’t see why Seven would give up a monopoly and introduce a commercial competitor in such a small market. I am also not sure if supplementary channels can be sold off? Though someone may know better.
They could outsource sales and/or operations for the Nine and 10 services in a similar way to the joint venture stations.
Why wasn’t this thread closed back in 2021 when the affiliation swap was reversed?
The Nine-affiliated Spencer Gulf station is tied to the Seven-affiliated station so any discussion could easily be made there, surely?
Apparently in case there is any legacy discussion (which surely could be better discussed in the TV history thread if there is any), and for SA, which there is basically little, if any, discussion
Agree that would be a better location
I have no idea. So ADH can’t have 9 and 10 in those SA markets, no?
If any discussion, it could really only be for the advertising on the station. Simply put, these days it’s just NWS-9 Adelaide with local ads.
Which again, is tied to the main Seven affiliated station…
