He’d have to consider such a move, surely? He’s getting older, fatter, very disgusting. Has a big fat mouth and doesn’t know when to shut the fuck up.
Perfect for 2GB!

I would’ve thought we’d be more likely to hear Kyle & Jackie O presenting the breakfast show on WSFM whenever Jonesy & Amanda call it quits…or get pushed out if ARN feel J&A represent “the old WSFM” rather than how they want the station to sound going forward.
But yeah, Kyle Sandilands would definitely be perfect for 2GB!
That actually doesn’t sound too unrealistic. And move Mike E & Emma up from The Edge to KIIS.
Besides, all the hits he used to play in their heyday at 2Day are now playing on WSFM.
Andrew Hornery in the SMH is hearing that Alan Jones and Macquarie have come to an agreement which will see him stay at 2GB. Apparently News Corp and Sky News were not prepared to pay his asking price of $4.5 million a year.

Intersting GB has coverage from 3aw (for the election). I miss 2ue as a commercial alternative in Sydney.
I could be wrong, but it seems there is 2 different program streams going on - judging by watching them on the webcam. 3AW with Neil Mitchell is taking calls, while John Stanley and Michael Pachi are on 2GB/4BC. Unless there was a joint broadcast going on earlier?
I tune in after 10pm. I heard 131332. I did not listen all night. Digital radio had the footy on. Earlier on I did not think to tune in 873. So I might have it wrong.
Blue Mountains City Council has threatened legal action against 2GB and Ray Hadley after he accused the general manager of the council of lying at an asbestos inquiry.
According to The Australian, Alan Jones is set to sign a new 2 year deal with 2GB. The contract extension is reportedly the result of Macquarie chairman Russell Tate and their 2nd largest shareholder John Singleton intervening in the negotiations
Hadley and Adam Lang must be furious they haven’t been able to pull off the grand plan to oust Jones. I wonder where that leaves Lang considering Jones was rumoured to want him “moved on” if he was to stay with the station. It looks like Lang will have to find another way to work the same radio magic he brought to 2Day FM and 2UE.
Like it or not Jones is far more in touch with middle Australia than many care to admit. His refusal to write off the Liberals and his effortless attacks on some of the looney left policies Labor was putting forward during the election campaign proves it. His performance throughout the election campaign only served to bolster his worth. 2GB owes their success to him and they’d be stupid to let him walk.
John Singleton: “Alan made 2GB successful”. Bob Dyer, Jack Davey, and numerous others from the real glory days of 2GB would say otherwise, I think.
Do you remember who was broadcasting on 2GB immediately prior to Jones and Hadley joining the station in 2002?
I vaguely recall Clive Robertson, Peter Hand, John Harker and Kerri-Ann Kennerley having shifts on 2GB around that time and they were all rating poorly.
Wasnt Graham Richardson on breakfast? Brian Wilshire was on at nights.
That rings a bell. Wilshire definitely.
If old versions of the 2GB website via archive.org’s “Wayback Machine” are anything to go by, this was their weekday presenting lineup in 2001:
*Breakfast: Phillip Clark
*Mornings: Terry Willesee
*Midday to 3pm: Kerri-Anne Kennerley
*3pm to 7pm: Graham Richardson
*7pm to midnight: Brian Wilshire
*Midnight to breakfast: Jim Ball.
Wilshire & Ball were the only two presenters to retain their timeslots for “the new 2GB” in 2002. Phillip Clark moved to the drive program which he would present until 2008, while Chris Smith seemed to join the station around the same time as Jones & Hadley.
Graham Richardson did breakfast in 2000, taking a break during the Olympics to fullfill his role as Mayor of the athletes village, with Peter FitzSimons filling in. Philip Clark was on breakfast in 2001, then moved to drive when Hadley joined to do breakfast in early 2002, iirc. Jones joined 2GB in March 2002 when he had finished his duties on Bill Clinton’s post presidential tour of Australia. Kerri-Anne Kennerley was on afternoons in 2001 with ‘Midday with Kerri-Anne’.
Lang did not build success at those stations, he came into it, much the same way he began at MRN. He has no nous for programming success on his own.
A somewhat safe pair of hands to keep successful stations chugging along.
I was being sarcastic and alluding to his failure to keep Kyle Sandilands happy at 2Day and his time at 2UE when he ushered in the failed “it’s like the ABC with ads” era that spectacularly failed.
From memory Chris was Program Director at 2GB prior to Jones and Hadley joining the station. He took KAK’s spot when he wanted to be a presenter instead of a program director, but I’m not sure if that was before or after Jones and Hadley started.
Smith took over afternoons when Hadley and Jones started on 2GB, with Kennerley being fired at the end of 2001.
