I agree they are an obnoxious pair that should be heard in Sydney only if not at all. I feel sorry for Melbourne listeners. Fortunately for me I haven’t really discovered FM Radio as yet, it has only been some 43 years!

At the end of the hourly news bulletins on 3AW yesterday and this morning, the newsreader said: “on your home of the Paralympics, Melbourne’s own 3AW”.
Going to be interesting to see how Nine Radio will broadcast the Paris Paralympic Games from the end of August.

They’ve also replaced the Olympic rings with the Paralympics logo in the profile images on socials.

My guess, given Nine’s TV coverage, is that it will be similar to the Olympics with evenings and overnights off air while they cover the games.
Will be interesting to see if Nine let the ABC do radio coverage outside of Nine’s markets like they did with the Olympics.

It’s a good guess but is there really that much appeal for the Paralympics? Will Nine TV even put it on the main channel?
I can hardly see Nine Radio doing back to back coverage like the Olympics. Probably just regular updates overnight and maybe live finals where there is an Australian with a chance of a medal.

At the bare minimum, Nine will have TV coverage on the main channel late night and overnight.
Nine has been heavily promoting the Paralympics, so wouldn’t be surprised to see extensive radio coverage

Nine have announced they will have 14 hours of live coverage each day.
I would assume it would be on Gem during primetime and then the main channel overnight.
No word on radio and no relevant program changes reported on the Nine Radio Syndication website.

I can’t see Nine Radio going too crazy with covering the Paralympics. Would they even have anyone remain in Paris for it?

They have the high tech studio and staff of any relevance based in Sydney but I would imagine they will rely on Channel 9 commentators to some extent.

I find it interesting the relationship between Clinton and Mike (on 2GB). Someone sent an email to Mike last night (I listen on replay), the email was a bit “rude” asking when Clinton is back as he isn’t rude like you… Mike read it out the email but didn’t answer the question…
Anyway I assume Clinton is back tomorrow…

No it is not me. Siv seems to have been around a while even back in the 2UE Lifestyle days when he would ring Mike Jeffries often. I believe Siv is blind. I am not Stephanie either.
