Nine Radio (Talk)

They paid a lot of money for the rights it’s only a week or whatever more. The normal grievance politics moaning will return soon though.

Fordham probably doesn’t listen to those stations esp if they are in Brisbane

I guess though a lot of people do like the full-on coverage, and given the time difference that’s mainly going to be overnight. But it’s only for two weeks, maybe during that time you can discover some new music on Spotify instead or something?

Or you could listen to the ABC

Another suggestion is maybe you could listen to the podcast of a show you missed during the day.

I don’t like Ray’s Country Music on Saturday nights while I’m trying to sleep so I listen to Peter Fegan’s 9am show on Podcast.

I’m mostly annoyed about the lack of on the hour news.

LOL … who knew? I don’t think these BrisVegas stations are at the centre of the Oz radio universe are they? That would still leave the vast majority of us who haven’t heard Libby on air before and are very impressed with her natural sound on the Olympics coverage with Bolts.

Isn’t that an improvement on regular 3AW programming? Up here us Northerners have had to suffer 3AW overnights far too often  The Olympics surely sound better.
@Rossco - are you with me?

I’m actually asleep for the overnights. But I am talking about the early evening and the news on the hour! When I wake up just before 5am, I want my 5am news, not some random swimming race called by Ray Hadley who is an expert for all of two weeks.

ABC Melbourne has local news at 5am, and a local evenings program on the same nights as 3AW.

Firstly, there is a 5 in the AM?

Maybe check ABC, they’d have news at that hour? Or does 3AW still do news at that hour to 3MP or Magic?

Indeed I am but I have to admit that I thought broadcasting the Olympics on Radio would be a flop, how wrong was I! Only a week to go.

Was Clinton Maynard over in France? Noted Mike is doing overnights on Tuesday night. Mike tends not to “talk” too much about why he is filling in etc (unlike Triple M where they are very open that Jason Morrison was sitting in for Luke Bona).

Funny I tend to enjoy the overnight shows listening the next day. They have more freedom overnight I guess, makes it more interesting.

Sure

Yes, he had been there since before the start and I believe just making his return home after covering the closing ceremony. We are blessed with Mike covering in the meantime as the original plan was to use the “clowns” from Melbourne. My telephone calls to 2GB almost every day seems to have worked. at least in the meantime. Just have to work on weekends now as long as it is not Mike Williams.

Clinton Maynard is an AI generated voice. His prototype was first created at 2UE and has developed into the great professional we hear now on Nine Radio. “Clinton” can work 24/7, 365 days a year, in any country across multiple time zones.

Nine Radio is rolling out the Clinton Pro Max Model in 2025.
