Dale generally only goes on air on Christmas Day. He’s a good addition to the overnight show and could do well having his own show.

In my experience petitions to radio stations rarely have any impact. The only thing that might cause bosses to reconsider would be a sharp drop in ratings - which is probably what happened in the case of 2GB weekday overnights being pumped into 3AW for a few months back in 2020

4BC Breakfast is so much more listenable this week with Peter and Sofie providing a proper news breakfast show.
They must realise this is so much better or they’d continue the music format when the three clowns are away.
Please remove them.

I would cut the talk to the bare minimum. 4BC has been a talk station for 25 years at least it doesn’t rate in the Brisbane market.

Brisbane is missing a Smooth FM like station so that could happen unlikely though as 4BC will remain a talk station if it continues to be owned by Nine even though it doesn’t rate. For it to work anyway it would need to be on FM and have money invested into the station and that isn’t happening even for 4BH. But if Nine wants a station number one in the Brisbane market it isn’t going to happen with a talk format.

4BH882 was the closest to a smooth station in Brisbane. And Classic Hits 4KQ would always beat them.

What that might mean for the Brekky trio, whose contract is up at the end of the year, could be interesting.

And is that what the market wants? When everyone tries to be number one we get every station aiming for the lower common denominator and sounding the same.
Nine actually want to be the number 1 talk format in the country. As it turns out, that’s a popular format in Sydney and Melbourne, but not the other cities. I’m sure they’re happy with 4BC simply being the best talk station in the city.

As for 4BC Breakfast, didn’t he only select 3 songs per hour?
Not much work for a once high-rating Music Director.
Come on ACE. Here is your chance to take 4BH (and others) even further! I’d make him Group MD for ACE Metro stations. Imagine what he could do for 4BH & Magic1278!?
Maybe he could host Jukebox Saturday Night across the ACE metro network?

It’s a shame to let someone with his experience as a long time music programmer go to waste .Ace Network and 4BH need to offer him employment as music director and an on air role if needed
