The HOT phllaaaattteee on NIIHHHHNNNHEEHH
coloured flames, gloss, 3D etc

So looks like no new network presentation package… yet? Hard to tell during a major event like an Australian Open that completely dominates your schedule, but sponsor billboards and a couple of promos (TP and Hundred I think) still using the old graphics.

Unless it’s tonight after Nine News Melbourne re-launch (we think) or tomorrow

Maybe they might end up doing it after the tennis. With the news rebrand looking like just Sydney and Melbourne at the moment, and the tennis filling the schedule, they may as well wait until after it finishes, with the launch of Tipping Point and Married at First Sight

Yeah agreed, that’s what you’d have thought, Q1/ survey start ‘after the tennis’, like anything. However, I think it was just because of all the Nine News Melbourne re-launch stuff going on with tonight as that date coinciding with the AO start, maybe assumed more across Nine might happen too

Yeah although it could still happen after 6pm, so maybe it is, but yeah, feeling like with news, it could be rolled out in stages.

A little random, but this font is nice:

Very early 2000’s, everything old is new again.

Yes, I’ve liked that font for some reason too :joy:

I’ve found Nine do a better job at promoting 9Now (and Stan Sport) on-air (in-program and promos), as well as online/social media.

Whereas Seven did a better job at vocally promoting 7Tennis app and the ‘megawall’ (progress scores of other matches happening and what channel they were on - which Nine do but not as much for some bizarre reason and certainly not mentioning 9Gem/ putting up its logo enough!)

The 3D logo remains :face_with_peeking_eye: (at least for now)

Looks like we might be getting just a flat version of the current presentation?

It’s been like this for a while for AO. Weird combination.

Ive seen some promos during the tennis for The Hundred, Tipping point etc using the flat logo then during the ad breaks promos using the 3D logo, it makes it seem like there is poor communication between different promo teams etc or something going wrong as it just looks poor and unprofessional compared to the other FTA stations

Well the tennis opens with a sponsorship slide including a horrible 3D WWOS logo

That’s the same one they used at least last summer and before that the same graphics but the back-drop was plan rather than tennis court themed (is that actually a shot of Sydney Olympic Park’s Ken Rosewall Arena?)

Hopefully something happens when they start using the olympics watermark on normal presentation but the current on air presentation has been an eternity. It’s also a huge mess, I’ve given up on any hope of it ever changing , just the same year in year out!

I was just thinking about this (Olympics watermark during normal programming) yesterday and wondering when (you’d imagine right after the AO final next Monday for the heavily promoted ‘Jan 29’ of Q1 shows start) & if they’ll apply it to multi-channels (and which ones) like Seven did during 2016 and 2021, as well as later 2017 into 2018 and later 2021 into 2022 for the Winter Games (also seen during the 2008, 2016 and 2018 Australian Opens). And when Seven did theirs, the style of the watermarks changed to accommodate, from larger horizontal to smaller stacked.

So are we confident that it will be on Next Monday. A whole new look.

I don’t think so, we’re just making some logical presumptions. Could be OzTam survey start Sun Feb 4. Might be start of NRL season, Las Vegas. Could even be SOOs. Might even be commencement of the Paris Olympics. Or ‘after the Olympics’. Even if at all.
