Kind of Nine’s way of celebrating 30 years since the launch of the iconic “Simply The Best” campaign for what was then the NSW-RL Winfield Cup?
I think there were reports (or at least rumours) late last year that the NRL wanted to do an updated version of the “Simply The Best” campaign for 2020, but ultimately they decided against the idea because of the costs involved.

I was hoping Nine would have had some kind of relaunch this year, the look is five years old this year. Remember they use to reimage the station every year once but I guess with the digital channels it gets a bit costly now days!

Given that they’ve just done new/refreshed looks for Nine News and Today, I personally think we shouldn’t rule out the possibility of there being another major rebrand of Nine’s general On-Air Presentation at some point this year.
2012 was another year that Nine rebranded their news/current affairs programs before the general channel look.
