Andrew Gaze has been doing crosses back into the main channel program from the venue.

God they truly are pathetic aren’t they, was it written by Sharp?

Lol. I will admit it was pretty awkward when it was live but sill a stupid article.

Nine and 9Gem are both showing men’s park skateboarding preliminaries, but in different order. 9Gem is showing from the introduction of players, while main channel just joins in for the final stages.

It was awkward when it happened. Especially since in the previous 2 gold’s by Jess, Richard was able to go immediately without Dave saying wait. The only thing I can think is that Dave wanted him to help him commentate the men’s which was immediately following the women’s but then saw the family celebrating and told him to join them

This is a total non-story, Fox is there to be a professional expert, he has obligations beyond celebrating with his daughter and the Australian lounge room fan club. Culbert was trying to focus on calling, a fine job as always might I add, probably just shouted and wrong phrasing in the heat of the moment.

3m women’s springboard final underway and neither 9 or Gem airing it, focussing on Aussies in the sailing and skateboarding respectively. Wonder if Taylor and Fricker are even calling or if they’ll use the world OBS feed?

Nine should create a 9Olympics X account different to the WWOS account for their Olympics content similar to NBC with NBCOlympics and CBC with CBDOlympics

I would have thought that the diving would be "more popular " than the sailing. Skateboarding is a new event, so I understand airing that. Some odd choices from Nine recently.

Stan Sport is the greatest thing ever invented. It’s made the Olympic experience better for most Aussies. On the swimming you could listen to Matt Thompson or the world feed. i wish they’d do this when the Wallabies go to NZ, so you could get the Sky NZ calls on a different stream from Sean Maloney and co.

I could be wrong, but didn’t they do this?

Stan Sport is my favourite feature but we don’t get any coverage from CBC in Canada or Supersport in South Africa

Hope for Milan-Cortina there is an option for CBC to hear the CBC NHL callers during the ice hockey

Not a growth platform.

The result in the sailing should at least partially vindicate Nine’s decision. It was for a medal when the diving was for qualifying for a semi final place; and they did end up showing some dives.

Amazing ranking on the medal table

Wearn and Palmer like an hour apart, back-to-back golds, now 16 :raised_hands: :green_circle::yellow_circle: :1st_place_medal:

Expect replay, highlight, interview etc saturation across Thursday!

The thing I wish they did with Stan is add the ability for split screen. With so many events going on, split screen is ideal for an Olympic viewer

They are using Instagram and tiktok to show the videos instead of Twitter. So they are still posting videos on socials just not Twitter like 7 did and like what NBC still do

Just saw Tony Jones interview Nina Kennedy after her gold medal and she finished with “thanks chompers”. He wouldn’t have liked that. His ego would’ve taken a massive hit.
