They really should’ve clarified here that Lofthouse has already departed amid health reasons, sort of reads like they’re replacing the old with the new.
Maybe that’s just how I’ve interpreted it.

I am really not sure about choosing Joel. Better than Josh and Tim Arvier certainly. But, surely Nine looks at Sarah’s appointment on 7 and deems it bad judgement ?? Someone that was not a fixture on the local bulletin nightly and has minimal presenting experience. Surely Nine wouldn’t want to replicate it?

It does seem to go against the narrative of Melissa being joined by a co-anchor. But it doesn’t look like a very expensive promo, just a collection of shots previously used and not hard to pivot “and now Melissa is joined by”
