IMO, they should’ve rolled Joel and Melissa out on the Sunday night, right off the back of live NRL coverage and with Sunday nights typically being the highest-rating news night of the week, though I understand if QTQ don’t want to implement the Sydney model (i.e. Sun-Thu, Fri-Sat).
I remember in 2017, when QTQ unveiled their new (current) set, they had Andrew and Melissa present on the Sunday evening (but IIRC they actually lost that night).

Haven’t seen much evidence of this. Promos are not very frequent on Nine. No articles or adverts in The Sunday Mail today.

Starting tomorrow?
I’m surprised 7 didn’t bring back Sarah Greenhalgh a week before Joel, given she’s already featuring in promos again.
I’d be actually delaying a switch again on Seven for a bit while Joel settles, hoping viewers turn over and find Max and Katrina more familiar. I see no reason to rush Sarah back at all.
